my stay here exceeded my expectations compared to my last visit in llandovery. the food was absolutely phenomenal, especially the mushroom and brie wellington which was unique and flavorful. the atmosphere in the pub was lively and welcoming, making it easy to relax after a long day.

Quirky historical vibes enhance the atmosphere, making it charmingly rustic. Food options, especially the mushroom and brie wellington, impress with local flair.
Room decor feels dated and tired, with furniture needing serious upgrades. Parking restrictions become a hassle during busy times, and the faint noise from creaky floorboards can interrupt sleep. Shower pressure leaves something to be desired, while some bathroom fittings, like taps, reflect signs of wear. Overall cleanliness might surprise those expecting a pristine 4-star experience.

Check in was easy and friendly, and the food was second to none. Had a lovely evening meal at the pub, great portion size and the atmosphere was just right.
Let's be honest, it wasn't exactly dirt cheap, but the quality made it worth it.

Hearty breakfast options set the tone for the day!
The bathroom could use better ventilation to avoid dampness.

Comfortable room, great dining options, the evening meal in the pub was great and fairly priced, while the full cooked breakfast included multiple choices. It's conveniently located just a six-minute walk from the train station.
Nothing to improve upon.

I had a delightful stay at The Kings in Llandovery. The staff provided friendly service, and the dinner was exceptional, especially the well-presented dishes. My only downside was the noise from locals at night, but the cozy atmosphere made up for it.

Great food and friendly locals!
We had an awesome time here! The staff was super friendly, and the room was clean and comfy. The bar area was a blast, and the locals were really chatty, making us feel at home. The meals were just fantastic—had steak one night and seabass the next, both cooked to perfection. Just a bit noisy on weekends.

Great stay with cozy vibes!
Had a lovely time overall! Our room was huge and super quiet, perfect for relaxing. Staff were friendly and tried their best to help us out. Breakfast was solid, and we enjoyed the meals we had at the bar, but it did feel a bit cramped with limited menu choices. a nice spot in a great location!
